Don't get to excited about this.
Matt and Trey are very much libertarians (extreme economic right / social progressives) they are going to be making fun of the left a lot in this film. They will make fun of Bush, but not like most of us would probably enjoy.
They will for sure however be making fun of the celebrity leftists and to a much greater degree than they will of Bush.
They are pretty patriotic as well and there will be heavy pro-american kicks ass type of underlying theme.
Although I enjoy their humor, they have changed it after having a "post 9-11" world existing. They dropped That's My Bush, not that it was very funny to begin with.
I am just saying, be cautious on this not be somewhat irritating and not to get your hopes up too high.

Economic right ? Really ? How so ?
Not that I'm disagreeing, I just find that odd.
Anyway, I think the left deserves to be made fun of. So, good for them.

Twice in one lifetime I'm in agreement with UR
These guys are funny - that's about all there is to it. Besides, I can imagine Michael Moore being one of their primary targets. All the better as far as I'm concerned ;)

The American "left" definitely needs to be made fun of. Including the "radical" Michael Moore, who at first didn't see a difference between the Democrats and the Republicans, but later went on to condone general Clark for presidency. Ridiculous.
Not that I condone libertarianism. It's about the opposite of where i stand, politically speaking. I think they’re complete ass-holes.
But their stuff tends to be funny, so I'll probably see it.

No, not just the American left. It amazes me that you really think people are so different.
The left as a whole can easily be made fun of and I welcome it. There are as many idiots, fanatics and whiny ****s within our ranks as there are anywhere else, probably more. I'd say a good third of leftists are insincere hypocrites who are "revolutionaries" because it's "cool".

i read a funny commic bout communism - a short one.
the guy had a cat named vladamir - who purred 'mao' -it had lots of little bits like that. there was a 'happy dictatorship of the proleteriat' (a smilly face with a hammer and sickle in it). and bits like that.
yeah we need a bit of humour to make this job easier - the world can be really grim if u focus on it. in the commic his girlfriend was denounced as a stalinist - the ultimate sin- n e way and commedy bout the left is at least aknowleging we exist.

 just got back from the movie, wow that was absolutly hilarious, I havent laughted that hard and long since i first saw Monty Python and the Holy Grail. This movie has everything, comedy, romance and HARDCORE PUPPET SEX. I am glad they didnt do any Bush jokes and stuck to mainly making fun of Terrorists, Kim Jong Il and Liberals. There are also several parodies of movies such as a parody of the cantina scene from Star Wars and 2 scenes from Kill Bill Vol 1. You have to see this movie.

Im agreeing with the point that it would be wrong to treat something bad just because it makes fun of the left. IF you are in the frame of mind where you cant take a little light hearted humourous criticism i dont think you are in the right place.
