Fallen Comrades of the Irish Republican Socialist Movement

Brendan Convery & Gerard Mallon
Volunteers - Irish National Liberation Army
Killed in Action on 13 August 1983

Convery and Mallon were killed during an attempted ambush of Royal
Ulster Constabulary personnel at a security barrier in Dungannon, Co.
Tyrone.

Convery was from Maghera, Co. Derry. 1500 people attended his funeral.

Mallon was from Madden, Co. Armagh. 1000 people attended his funeral.

A memorial to Convery was unveiled in Maghera on 17 August 2003.

They died as they lived: Republican Socialists. Remember them with
honour and pride.

Do the Irish Republican Socialist Movement have an armed wing?
I recently browsed your site, it seems to me your group is the only one with a serious alternative for Ireland ie a socialist one.

Thanks, I don't agree with all of the past tactics. It is however quite interesting
