I usually really really hate emo, but for some reason, I've been listening to alot of Coheed and Cambria lately...anyone else like this band besides me?

yeah got both their albums. the second album is better cos its heavier and got better guitar riffs, tho that 'me and myyy staaar, blah blah bloo bleh bleee' song on the first one is good too. the 'dear ambeliiihinaah' song is my favourite on the second album i think.

Well, Coheed and cambria has Emo elements in there music...but I mainly consider them Progressive Rock with Pop elements in it. There second album is hella good because it's a concept album.. I love how there band is based around a fictional storyline.
Anyways I recommend to all at Che Lives to listen to these songs
The Velorium Camper 1: Faint of Hearts
Delirium Trigger
In Keeping with Secrets of the Silent Earth:3
Devil In New Jersey
Its good to just listen from start to finish there second album, as each song kinda fits into each other.

Coheed and Cambria... heh. I've heard some stuff by them, but I didn't care much for it. Not really something I'd listen to on a regular basis.

Aside from the literary allusions in their lyrics and songtitles and the fact that the singer has a high-pitched voice like Geddy Lee, how are Coheed and Cambria "progressive rock"? They sound like New Found Glory.

well...let's see, listen to the song faint of hearts, the guitar progression is VERY similar to that of rush, and I dont think New found Glory has pick Screams, and complex note progressions. I consider them Progressive because of the lyrical contant and style of playing.

I like it, and saw the lead singer at Leeds, he looks really different when his hair is tied up.
