Did Che really say this? I've heard several people refering to it. Do you know if it is true, or not?

"Don't shoot! I'm Che! I'm worth more to you alive than dead!"?

As you all know, Che was captured and then executed, in Bolivia.

i heard that he said that, i admit i felt a little disappointed in him, but hey, he was human, and that's what i love about him the most!

True, he was only human, but i think that he would have spent a while before his capture and execution mentally preparing himself for what would be his last words. He wouldnt have wanted his last words to show him as soft, but defiant and brave to the end.
