In all honesty, I'm really not too sure if they're any type of split from any other group. Last month on the 26th, I went to this meeting in SF that was put on by ANSWER and they had all these people come in to talk about Cuba. All I know is that this group works with them.
The rumors seem to be that the split was over the issue of running a presidential campaign. Some in the WWP didn't want to alienate the "Anybody but Bush" folks in the anti-war movement and some wanted to run a campaign.
Hmmmmm... well, in there magazine, they say they don't support any elections. So chances are they aren't part of the split. Then again, who knows. I'll try and find out more info on them, though.
