I think that you should investigate more before doing anything drastic. They might be getting paid, or if they arn't or are not getting payed fairly you should do somthing. Be careful about the way you go about it. May I suggest getting a group together and don't do anything crazy. If they are getting paid and being treated fairly and you barge into the scene you might anger their empoyer and cost them their jobs.
Good Luck

Most of the Haitians you see are probably illegal immigrants who work for pennies a day cutting sugar cane. Yeah, it's basically slave labor. But instead of bursting in there with a gun, why not volunteer for a local newspaper and encourage them to investigate?
Carl Hiaasen has written about Big Sugar a lot in the past. You might want to check out one of the collections of his columns for more information.

Whatever you do, don't focus on their immigration status, at least when presenting it to the public at large. Just focus on the slavery bit. No matter what you do, you'll get more support that way. I'd organize the workers. Don't just bring a swarm of investigators down upon the farm with the workers there feeling like their asses are hanging in the breeze and that they're the guilty ones and not the owners. If you talk to the workers before breaking anything to the media, then the workers could try to cooperate directly with the media. Then again, it's the capitalist media, so all bets are off. If you engage in any physical acts, make sure they're secret, so that your ass doesn't get busted for one little action in the class war, and try to avoid actions that will result in more or harder work for the workers. Your best covert, direct action that will give you a slight adrenaline rush is a night-leafletting raid. Those are my favorites. Leaflets away!

Getting the workers to talk is a good idea, but they would probably only agree to go to the media if it were on a condition of anonymity. I agree that focusing on their immigration status is a bad idea, but as soon as their faces appear on television or their names appear in the paper, the hunt will be out for them. First, they'll lose their jobs at Big Sugar. And they will most likely be deported, because political connections run deep (especially in South Florida). They didn't come to America for their health, they came because the conditions in Haiti are so awful and they need money to send to their families.
And by investigator, I meant undercover reporter types. Hidden cameras, etc.
