today i had the misfortune of having nothing better to do than watch fox "News"

fox "news" was showing a special on Ben stein (i think thats his name's) book on
CAN AMERICA SURVIVE.

supposedly this extremely foolish book critizes left wingers because of their lack of blind loyalty. He accuses us of talking in a less than favourable way about our country "in a time of trouble". In a brilliantly typical right wing statement , "we need to get it straight. we are the GOOD GUYS. they are the BAD GUYS. the only way we can win this war is by sticking together." His foolish conviction that he is ultimately right amazes me, and also enrages me so much that i cannot withstand another second of it. He seems to think that we should be ultimately grateful for our great , free country, and that we've nothing to complain about.

well i've got news for right wingers... we "complain" because we actually care about the future and can see what road we are headed down now. the fact that they dismiss our appeals to reason just verify's that they are determined to hold their own views no matter how illogical they are proven.

Indeed, he also hosts the television show "win ben stein's money" in which he bets five thousand dollars that he is smarter than you.

You'd think that in writing a book about us he'd actually bother to learn about why we think the way we do, wouldn't you?
If someone on a capitalist forum wrote that, I wouldn't be able to control myself in replying to them!
