They have agreed to reduce barriers on international trade to lift more people out of poverty. So do you think that this will help developing nations? Is this the start toward a truly free market or what. I think it might work actually even though most of you don't like free trade.

No, here's what that actually means: its now easier for giant western corporations to move into third world countries and exploit their population as a cheap source of labor.

true and i don't agree with free trade but if more people are employed then they can get decent wages although they will be far poorer than first world countries perhaps they can reach a living standard that is acceptable and the best they can get in the capitalist system.

Yeah they are claiming to be doing it to help LEDC's, and it may to a certain extent, but they really don't give a shit about them. Any decision made by the WTO is done for capitalists to bypass democracy, and should not be trusted.

Sorry, I've been studying Geography for too long. LEDC stands for Less Economically Developed Country.
