Well, this place seems lively and I rather like the theme. I'm a pretty hardline socialist/Marxist with a distaste for market economics as well as totalitarianism and fascism. Trotsky, Lenin, Rocker, and Marx(of course) occupy my bookshelf as well as mind.

Looking forward to chatting with you guys.

No, a 'wet blanket' is a figure of speech for someone who brings everyone down. More or less synonymous with a "bummer".

Have any other wildly intelligent things to say, champ?

Read the first word in the post you just quoted. It's not too hard, I promise.

I've been told not to post things here. At least somethings. Or something.

But welcome here anyway. Here you will find people with many different opinions. So don't let anyone ever claim that "all true leftists" do this or believe that. Your job is to make up YOUR mind. Read as much as you can, (and try not to program in COBAL if you can help it).

The kind that loves to constantly question his own beliefs.

 seriously, I wouldn't consider myself any specific type of marxist. I'm old enough to know that I'm far too young and naive to have figured out the world by now. I'm constantly learning and changing my views.

I wouldn't consider myself a blanket that's been pissed on if I were you...
