They did they were chatting about global warming and all of that crap!

Sayign how action needs to be taken now which I agree wtih. But they made it sound like if you vote for them then it stops no! Look some people say that there is a 30-40year lag time before grrenhouse gase today habe an impact e.g. the year 2042 if all fosil fuel buring stopped then there would be the effect so now the gases from the 70's late 60's may be having a effect now. Look the world is alredy fucked up! It started to go wrong at the time of the industrial revolution a few hundred years ago! Making it sound like its a 20th-21st centurey problem no it isin't. Look if we take action all we are doing is delaing the effects of global warimg and passingn them on down the line to the next genttions!

They also mentioned othter things which i will talk about later!

I can understand why you feel frustrated about their comments, and yes I would generally feel that way too if I felt that a party were attempting to force my vote for them. My experience with my nation's Greens Party is that they don't attempt to push their views without due reason beforehand. I never see them preaching their ways like some street-corner freakshow, but I know they have a website, and I know that they have a mailing list upon that site, where people can sign up to receive the Party's viewpoint on the various issues floating around.

When I see the leader and other representatives of the party on the TV, or hear them on the radio, etc., they make a point to never try to push people into following their cause. Rather, they simply state what they believe is the best thing to do, and leave people to come to their own conclusions about which path they will each individually take.

Maybe the Greens Parties, though all tied internationally, react in different ways according to which nations they're in, who knows. As I said, my nation's Greens Party seems fine.

A little note in regards to Global Warming: I agree, there have been experiments that show that Global Warming is a progressive thing that happens over a long period of time, as opposed to simply overnight, but I do with agree the Greens on the need to be active in helping the environment.

Just because the world's not going to collapse tomorrow doesn't mean that we shouldn't have to help it today. If the world was going to collapse next Wednesday, why should we wait until Tuesday evening before we did anything to help it? It is our duty to help the environment TODAY, regardless of when we reap the benefits.

I would like to think that we were helping this oversized ball of water and rock for more issues than just securing a home for ourselves; Rather, I think we should be giving back something to the planet, since it's provided for us a home, for millennia, and it's the least that we can do. Add to that all the reasons why we should help animals to secure homes as well.

We're all in this together, we must stop looking out for Number One and start thinking of the bigger picture. We need this planet, every single one of us, this planet needs itself, and yes - in some cases, it needs us, too. Acting now makes life easier for both the planet, and for us. We should not wait for a later time, when things are more critical than what they currently are.

"Look if we take action all we are doing is delaing the effects of global warimg and passingn them on down the line to the next genttions!"

Then when, exactly, is the right time to "take action?" Never? The US Senate just eroded incentives to use alternative power (http://www.commondreams.org/headlines02/0425-02.htm) and the US was able to force Robert Watson of off the IPCC. Meanwhile, the UN tells us that there's a "catastrophic threat (http://commondreams.org/headlines02/0416-02.htm)" from mountain lakes overflowing and parts of the Arctic have warmed dramatically (http://www.commondreams.org/headlines02/0415-02.htm).

So, just when should we do something? Perhaps we should just let the oil and coal industry continue to form our energy policies for us?

I can't change the past. All I have is now, and now is when we need to act.
