Hey I have some questions.
1) Why did Che leave Cuba?
2) Did Fidel take part in any fights?
3) Were the guerrillas really insane and kill prisoners and stuff?
4) Where did they train all of the guerrillas?
5) Did Che/Fidel have a wife or girlfriend and if so, kids to?
thanks :castro:
Welcome to the site. Hope you like it here.
1)He left to fight in other revolutions (Congo and Bolivia)
2)I suspect
3)From what I've read, Che, when in Bolivia, didn't kill prisoners, just humiliated them, questioned them, took their clothes and weapons, then sent them home with their tails between their legs.
4)I have no fucking clue.
5)I know Che had 2 wives and 3 kids. I don't know about Fidel.

Well, that's true, but why didn't he just execute them? If you let them go, they'll fight you another day.

Yeah, he got kids. They all start their names with A. I think one of them are named Alexus. They all got pretty normal jobs. One is a scientist, and another works in the radio. I've heard he makes sure they don't get any special treatment. His brother, Raul, who was part of the revolution, works as Cuba's defense minister. He was part of the revolution.

1) Already answered.
2) I know for sure he at least took part in the initial attack by his 26th of July Revolutionary Movement, Fidel and Che were amongst the dozen that survived the attack.
3) I've never heard of them killing political prisoners when they were guerillas. I know that Che personally sigend some 300 death warrants in Cuba for former members of the Batista regime.
4) Fidel trained his revolutionaries in Mexico, where him and Che met. In foreign nations, it was common for che to take a small force of Cuban soldiers to train and operate foreign-trained guerilla fighters.
5) Already answered.

Che executed one guy personally, commiting treason within the group. Nobody wanted to kill him, and everybody felt it was unpleasent, so Che took the gun up, and shot the traitor in the right side of his head.
Raul executed 70 people loyal to the the Batista regime.

I am not sure how to properly document my sources, but I shall attempt to do so. If someone could highlight how, or point me to where I could find out I would be grateful.
"The situation was uncomfortable for the people and for [Eutimio], so I ended the problem giving him a shot with a .32 [-caliber] pistol in the right side of the brain, with exit orifice in the right temporal [lobe]. He gasped a while and was dead. Upon proceeding to remove his belongings I couldn't get off the watch tied by a chain to his belt, and then he told me in a steady voice farther than fear: 'Yank it off, boy, what does it matter....' I did so and his possessions were now min. We slept badly, wet and I with something of asthma."

Page 237 second paragraph
When I first read this I was chilled by the ease that he killed this traitor. Che executed Eutimio Guerra early in the Cuban revolution. Guerra came and went as the guide for the small band of guerillas and appartently betrayed their position to Batista's army.
