311

[Knowledge 6 6 6]

This band's been together since 1988, and released their first album in 1993. Comin outta Omaha Nebraska, they mix a whole bunch of styles of different genres to create one badass sound in my opinion.

They have a hard rock sound at the same time have a ska-ish, roots reggae soul. It's a good combination, in songs like 'Leaving Babylon', the reggae makes itself very prevelant.

311's one of my favourite, if not my favourite modern-day band. There isn't many I like, but 311 is definitely something I consistently listen to.

311 is really good. My favorite album would have to be the blue album, since the song "Down" was the first one I heard that got me into them. All their other stuff is great too.

I wouldn't think so at all....I mean, their biggest influence is reggae music, and they incorporate that and a bit of ska into rock. It sounds really good..

Their name 311 is most likely in reference to the police radio code here in the states, which actually means "Indecent Exposure"

omigod I love 311. Amber is one of my favorite songs by them (it's like everybody's now). I like their older stuff alot though.
