I would like to hear everyones thoughts on Choking Victim and Leftover Crack. They're anti-capitalist squatters, but they seem to be too busy doing drugs to do anything constructive, but they make awesome music regardless. My personal favorite songs happen to be Fuck America and Nazi White Trash, is anyone else down?

I love Leftover. I wish they would put out a new album already though, it's taking them a while. Favorite song would have to be Crack Rock Steady, it's just classic, everytime I have seen them live they do it last and it's pretty crazy. That and Athiest Anthem also Born to Die. Blah, they are all good.

I wouldn't have sold the leftover crack to the lady, let alone kill her. Squatting, I've heard of that. When you find yourself in the forest of a trail on those long drives.Anyhow
I like constructive drugs too, I'm not looking forward to any future constructive squats though.
They're junkees, but they seem to be wasting their time squatting than to do anything constructive, but they do have awesome regardless.
Did you get it? ? Is it hot, fuck it's hot. Temperature another subject.
Forget it.

Leftists who spend more time using drugs than doing anything constructive, much of the leftist youth seem to have the same problem.

LOC news:

Fuck World Trade, the latest album slated for release on August 31, 2004 on Alternative Tentacles Records by the politically motivated New York ska- punk band Leftover Crack, has been rejected by several national chain music stores including Musicland, Best Buy and Circuit City on the basis of its title and cover art. Some chains such as Virgin Megastore will carry the release, but will not display them on endcaps.

The album cover for Fuck World Trade is a photo collage depicting the World Trade Center as the second plane was about to hit the South Tower, with President George W. Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani in various positions implying a cavalier attitude towards the tragedy. The artwork inside includes photos of bombings in Iraq, demonstrators protesting the war in Iraq, etc. In the liner notes, lead singer Stza Crack explains the origin of the title: "[W]e are enabling the world trade machine, effectively fattening the pockets of the world bank and I.M.F. sponsors by turning a blind eye and a vacant mind to the exploitation of third world slave labor...." Leftover Crack's previous album Med.iocre Generica (released coincidentally on 9/11/01) on Hellcat Records went through a change in title and artwork before release due to their perceived inflammatory nature relating to school shootings.

Wow, they're on Alternative Tentacles ? That's great !! Finally AT has a band that will actually sell some records and keep Jello from having to pay bands out of his own pocket !!

I got the album a few days ago, overall it's alright. There are two or three songs that should not be on the album at all and just suck, but it's not to shabby.

I thought the one with the world friendship inferno society was pretty bad, as was the "You can't go home but you can't stay here" one, I think it went that way. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for artists expanding their vision and all that stuff, but it was a little to emo for me. Having waited 3 years for their next album I was kind of disappointed.

And I need to get the lyrics to the Operation MOVE song..

Operation MOVE

Philadelphia / Seventy-Eight
Shut down M.O.V.E. / By police state
Forty-five police storm Powellton Village
Government sanctioned rape and pillage
Friendly fire kills officer dead
The M.O.V.E. nine are framed up instead
One dead cop / One officer's gun
(One) Unjust system is yet undone
In spite of efforts dissipated
Until the movement was incinerated

May thirteenth / Eighty-five
Eleven people / Burned alive
They dropped the bomb after liquid was doused
To smoke out the family and burn up the house
Sights trained on exits, the police wait
A firing squad for those who fight to escape
M.O.V.E. fought against exploitation
The states injustice and their oppression
For these crimes that the city pigs created
The Afrika's we incinerated
Sentence to be incinerated
Sentence to be incinerated

I like them because they mix such a variety of music, punk, rap, ska, and i guess now emo.....all into this crack rock beat!

emo....sometimes LoC tries to be ironic

I was at the Leftover Crack concert in St. pete florida (I live here) where they filmed the concert for the movie they co-star called "Loren Cass"

It was pretty, lame, they played the same four songs over and over, but at least they came all the way form new york to do it.

I love them. 500 channels and crack rock steady are my favorite songs. While their politics might be a bit muddled by their 'supposed' crack habits (according to a very shady article i read in a magazine a few months back), they make great music.

"ya shoot up ya die, ya shoot up ya die"

my favorite line of all time.

Choking Victim rules so much harder than leftover crack. I actually hate every song LoC has ever put out, but love all Choking Victim songs, what the hell? I know it's like the same band pretty much, but they changed man, it's like when the changed names someone just ate thier soul.

This was a couple of months ago, in May. I don't remember what songs they kept playing but it was being filmed for a movie so they had to do the set like four times to get one good enough to be in the movie...it was only 2$ to get in, so it was worth it.
