According to the July/August issue of International Socialist Review, Presidential candidate, Ralph Nader accepted the official endorsement from the Reformed Party. Yes, the Reformed Party, the cooky, bunch of right-wing xenophobes that ran Ross Perot for prez in '94 and ulta right-wing fantatic, Pat Buchanan, in 2000. The Reformed Party embraces an anti-immigrant ideology and is committed to blurring the line between seperation of and state.
My question is: why? Is Nader that desperate that he's willing to accept endorsements from the far right as well as accept money from them? In response to criticism over this, the Nader camp relied that Nader seeks to use his influence to change the radically, xenophobic ideologies of the reformed party. Which is about as likely to happen as me playing quarterback for the University of Colorado this fall.
The fact is, Nader is definitely more left than any Democrat, but he'smaking himself appear hypocritical and tarnishing his image by accepting help from the right.
