Is it impossible for some people to become a communist/anarchist? Obviously, there are a lot of selfish persons, who openly says that if they lived in a communist society, they would play games instead of doing any constructive work. Also, there are even a lot of socialists who would not like to live in a communist society. Is it impossible for some people to become a communist, or an anarchist?

Can you explain what you mean? Be a bit more specific as I don't really understand.

Some people hate the idea of communism. They are selfish, and don't care about doing anything for the community (some have openly admitted so).

"I don't want to contribute in a communist society. I want to play video games and surfing on the internet."

I think what you need to understand is that people, and yourself, are basing your views whilst still living under a Capitalist system. The idea of a 'job' is long hard hours in poor conditions for crap pay!

However Communism would reward those who work hard very highly! Going to work will be a pleasure as opposed to a drudgery and life in general will be better. The competition will be replaced by co-operation therefore the idea that work is about constantly trying to be better than your work mate will be a thing of the past.

I would also like to see a worldwide siesta where we all sleep or relax for a period of time during work hours, this has been proven to improve performance in work and life by 35%!!

You have to start viewing life through different eyes to see the wider scale of things or the BIG picture if you like. Admitably there will be those lazy people who do not want to work but they will get less for there slack efforts.
Imagine Communisim like this, we all have shirts that button on the back so someone else has to help you do it up! It will be a world of you scratch my back I'll scratch yours. Unlike Cap. where it's you scratch my back and I'll shit on you from a great height whilst in my million pound helicopter you scumbag worker get back to work I want my holiday in the Bahamas, *whip noise, Whuupuh*

Sounds nice, but how?

Going to work will be a pleasure as opposed to a drudgery and life in general will be better.

Why? Mixing dangerous chemicals on a factory can hardly be pleasureable.

Agreed.

True. :)

What do you mean? Examples?

Let's say everything is free, and people work volentarily. How are you going to decide what he or she gets? If she only works 1 hour a day, will she get like a restriction? Like, you can buy things for 40 dollar a day? If that's so, it would be a restoration to socialism.

Also, do you advocate a revolution with only fragments of the people (in example, the Cuban revolution)?

Why not? If safety is not comprimised for profit then what's the biggie? I work as an electrician, and I'll bet it's just as dangerous. Going to work knowing that you won't be working 12hours that day only to come home and do a six hour shift elsewhere just to make ends meet doesn't seem appealing then? And like I said before: "The competition will be replaced by co-operation therefore the idea that work is about constantly trying to be better than your work mate will be a thing of the past." Doesn't that make work more pleasurable? I do like my work but the hours and pay do make it a misery sometimes also the lack of labour in order to boost profits! What dangerous chemicals do you mean anyway? Surely with the technology we have, you would just have to oversee a machine doing it, something that a Capitalist boss would maybe not shell out for?!?

What do you mean? Examples?

Well I think the post outlined a few, some you agreed with or said 'true' to and in general you need to understand what the end product of a Socialist society will be like.
If you like download this speech Future Socialist Society (http://www.users.skynet.be/bk372187/future-socialist-society.mp3)
Or visit here:Resistance Mp3's (http://mp3.lpi.org.uk/resistancemp/socialismandrevolution.htm) if you aren't keen on downloading from a forum ( understandable)
It is a very good resource. Once you donwload one it won't be your last!!

Well, if it was socialism or communism, I would think it would be very similar.
It really depends if the person needs to only work an hour that day. If they are just refusing to work, people (within their commune probably) will just be less willing to help them in return, otherwise everyone would probably just want to help them out. I don't see why anyone wouldn't want to find a job, its not a waste of time like capitalist jobs. This is a way to feel like part of the society, to give back to your community. People would appriciate you.

I advocate small revolutions if the position can be maintained but if it mean perpetual war, the people should work toward a larger scale movement and have reforms to better their lives, while limiting the interferance of capitalism.
