I think we can take his word for it, considering he voted to lift the ban last year as a senator. Not that this will convince me to vote for the son of a *****; but maybe I'll just 'hope he wins'. Call me a sellout, I just want to go back to Cuba.

The thing is, if he were elected Prez, he alone couldn't just decide to lift the ban, and with the Republicans controlling both houses, I don't see how this could happen.

Again, let me reiterate that I am not voting for the fucktard.

BUT, there is a strong bipartisan movement in both the House and the Senate to lift the travel ban and a much smaller movement to lift or reduce the embargo, but Bush has vowed to veto anything that passes so the Republicans won't push it thru. If a pro-lift-the-travel-ban prez was in office I'm pretty sure it'd go thru.

Okay, with that said would you consider voting for Kerry? I'm not saying will you definitely, but would you aat least consider it? The way I feel is that there is no good choice for Prez. I'm not hopping on the Nader bandwagon, just because I feel that the Democratic Party is not all that different form the Republican party.

I will not participate in American national "elections" on principle; but I've been known to comprimise my principles for practical reasons, which easing of the sanctions on Cuba would certainly qualify for. If he was anti-embargo I'd prolly vote for him, but he's not.

Kerry won't. He said one of his major goals would be strengthening US policies against Cuba. It's better to have Bush in office. Kerry is smart, and evil. Bush is dumb, and a bastard. I prefer Bush.

I highly doubt he would remove the embargos or travel bands. If anything, he would make them more severe, since he has said on numerous occasions that Bush wasn't hard enough on Castro and Chavez.

He's a politician... what else do you expect? :P

Besides, usually when they say something like that, they usually end up doing the complete opposite.

Actions speak louder than words.

Yeah right, a US President doing something GOOD would be like Hitler becoming the UN Secretary-General.
