Leicester PSC/ISM - kite flying for Palestine

FLY FREEDOM -KITE FLYING FOR PALESTINE SUNDAY 18TH JULY 2pm-5pm. In Nablus and the rest of Palestine, children fly kites in the cooler evening breeze. These are made of paper, string rolled on sticks. Often they are made of thin plastic bags and tape reels. The children and young people will often break curfew to fly these symbols of freedom and they are a symbol of resistance in the blue sky, some of them the red, green black and white of the Palestinian flag. Kite over Ramallah On July 18th we could see Palestinian colours fly above Victoria Park Leicester! This informal event could be open to anyone who wishes to show solidarity to the Palestinian people and who would enjoy a social occasion of kite flying and picnic sharing! We will invite other groups in Leicester and their children, and extend the invite to groups outside the city. The more the better, but it doesn’t need to be big to be successful!
