Iraq, Iran and Turkey should all give back the land they stole from the Kurds. Many of the forests in south-eastern Turkey have been destroyed because Turkey's forces have burned them to the ground in their hunt for Kurdish guerillas. The Kurds aren't even allowed to speak their own language in Turkey.

Solidarity with our Kurdish brothers, Israel is not the only opressor in the middle east!

All Turkish people I speak to, who are here in America™ at various universities act as if the Kurdish rebellion groups are merely a minority who do not speak for the majority of the Kurdish people, who are "plenty happy with current situations".....

what has happened?

Turkey is largely to blame for a lot of the problems Islamic countries are having today.
They abandoned the Khilafa, for one thing, and since 1924 things have only gone downward for all their neighbours 'cause Mustafa Kamal made a deal with the West.

I've heard Iran has turned around on the Kurdish issue and is supporting their calls for a free Kurdistan, but only if Iraq and Turkey do likewise, which they of course won't. I'm not sure what to make of their position, so if anyone can shed light on it for me I'd appreciate it.

Salam,

Shunt: Ehm, of course they say that. Go ask some Israelis about the Palestinians and they'll tell you some pretty weird stuff too.

The point is that Turkey is an enemy of the Kurds, and as such not a reliable source of what the general Kurdish oppinion is on the situation.
