well good bloody luck.

it really depends on where in canada you are to determine who's primarily what. ont and bc tend to be the most left (with the exception of quebec that at times can just be out there) and alberta tends to be really conservative. who knows....even in ontario if you go to northern ontario the politics are a lot different than in southern and central ontario.

canada is just weird (is my conclusion). sometimes i'm impressed with our gov't (particularly in pushing the ICC) and other times i get really annoyed with them (Bill C-31 the Amendments to the Indian Act). The fact they are trying to privatize medicare is really getting to me (as someone that is reliant on meds daily and therefore constantly at the doctors)

gee i dont know what else you want to know. i'm planning on working with government (if they'll have me) once i'm done law school...who knows though, i may end up in uganda for a year and i might even end up in iqaulait. where abouts are you in Canada? that might give me a better starting point.

Hi
I'm from Québec city.

Here elections are coming our way in less than year.
Partial elections were held this week and some months ago. The Liberals of Jean Charest won some seats that were previously owned by the Parti Québécois. And in the countys were the PQ won, the margin with the Liberal was thinner than before.

So I guess it's safe to say that the next Québec government is gonna be Liberal.

I don't like Landry (he was the economy minister) but I think Charest isn't gonna be a good leader.

English isn't my first language but I'm pretty good at it.
By the way, how would you call a economy minister in English?

I think Chrétien is a disgrace. But hey, at least Day isn't prime minister.

Last thing: where you live, are the Canadian flags in front of governement buildings lowered (don't know the real word in Englsih for it) because of the canadian soldiers who were bombed by US GIs???

Have a good day!

chretian is the least evil of all the evils that might possibly have won. i'm worried about the a few of the ministers he appointed in the last shuffle....particularly the minister of foreign affairs ......i was talking to him and he gave me so much wrong information and didn't answer some of my questions

BC here.

Chretien is a funny little man, but I agree better him than Day.

But I have been focusing more attention here in BC lately. Our premier Gordon Campbell has systematically turned BC over to the capitali$ts; sweeping tax cuts for business, all the while dismantling many social programs. Protests are common now, but he doesn't care. He has even called a "vote" to end all treaty negotiations with First Nations bands (BC is the only province with provincial crown land).

The softwood lumber dispute with the U$ has also been felt here. BC, as usual, is just a big mess.

hey comrades,
i'm from southeastern ontario(Canada Rules) while we are on the Canada subject do you think that there will ever be a Communist revolution in Canada, i think most canadains are far to complacent for that sort of thing! though i have heard that in northern ontario the communist party is quite popular among the miners and aboriginals. right now the best thing for canada i think would be to get the united states industry out of here! most of our industries are owned by them and most of the profits go back to them.(which eventually winds up going to there war machine) we need to stop being there 51st state!!! lets show them we arent all complacent and would just go along with whatever they say!!!
