A unanimous vote by the United Nations Security council paved the way for a fact finding team to investigate palestinian clames of a massacre in the Jenin refugee camp...... The united states threatend to veto unless the word "massacre" was replaced with less powerful language........sorry G.Double Ya...... a massacre is a massacre.....no matter how you spell it....... so far as of yesterday 48 bodies have been recovered..........but keep in mind........that there has been no way as of yet to recover any bodies from the rubble.......the final body count will probably increase ten fold........fucking israelis......... someone has to do something about these self righteous arrogant bastards

Israel are terrorists, theyre worse than the palestinian bombers. I mean in the towns and cities they have invaded they have cut the water supply to every house and forced the inhabitants to stay inside.

The only time the people inside go outside is to get some water, upon which they are shot by israeli soldiers in armoured cars and tanks.

I mean everyone has seen the news. Man innocent dead as well as hundreds of bulldozed houses. Israel are as injust as their cause!

Israel has invaded a sovereign nation and gotten away with a "you shouldn't do that" speech. Palestinians try to keep what they have and are called terrorists. Suicide bombers kill. Soldiers kill. Either way it is a bloody mess. But, the good news is "the good ole US of A is gonna jump in and tell everyone how it should be done" again. Great. Just what this country needs. Another chance to piss off the few parts of the world that weren't pissed off at us already.

Why would there be? You are talking about the most bigoted, hypocritical government in the world.
They are test bombing in Vieques, why? Because they are Puerto Ricans. But you wouldn;t see them doing that in a nice Washington suburb, huh?
I think that this government is creating further alienation with the Middle East. Resentment and hate will be the only thing that Bush will accomplish. When terrorist attacks happen I will not be surprised. The US is doing everything it can to make themselves look like the one-sided hypocritical pigs that they are! Bush is Sharon's *****.

well, the US is exposing itself as the hypocritical nation it is - but because it's so big - economically as well as military- no one's going to do anything about it

For what it's worth, the region that is bombed on Vieques is not that large, and usually doesn't interrupt the lives of those that live on the island. I don't think it has anything to do with it being part of Puerto Rico... there are bombing ranges all over the country within the US proper.

THE LATEST,

The UN decided to delay the mission because the Israelis were not very happy with the members of the UN fact finding team and thus refused any cooperation on the basis that they would be sympathetic towards the palestinians. So what does Kofi Annan do? He mutters his apologies to Israel and agrees to delay the mission in order to insure that the UN team is hand picked by the Israel and US. Meanwhile, the leader of the UN humnitarian aid team has cancelled her mission following Israel's refusal to cooperate with them and provide the necessary relief and rescue equipment required.

This is FUCKING rediculous. They might as well tell the IDF to carry out the Investigation whenever they have the time to deal with this absurd nonsense. Then, they could just take a few pictures of a few hotels and beaches in Java so that the Israeli media can claim that this is how the Jenin refugee camp looked like after the Israeli incursion, whilst the actual pictures of the camp will be used as evidence of the destruction caused by suicide bombers in Haifa.

And meanwhile, so many people around the world are asking palestinians to remain calm and pursue peace. How the HELL can they if this is international justice????

I agree 100% with Leo's sentiment, this whole thing is total bullshit. Israel is getting all the elbowroom in the world to complete their cover up. I mean, they had the damned camp for a couple of weeks, then they kept people out of there, even medical staff, for days on end after they said they were out of there. Now access is still very limited, and they're asking for MORE TIME before the UN can even get into it's own goddamn camp??? And they want to hand-pick their investigators too, just to be totally unreasonable.

I sometimes get the feeling they're doing certain things just to bother the few people out there who have any inkling of an understanding of the concepts of truth and justice.
