I really enjoyed it!

I'll admit it was a tad confusing, but it does have various undertones. Which version did you see? The 142 minute UK release, the 132 minute US release or the directors cut?

And by the way, if you missed anything from this film, the fansite above goes into copious detail on the plot and subplots.

i have the DVD set with the directors cut and US and UK releases
my personal favorite is Baron Von Munchausen

fear and loathing in las vegas, 12 monkies, baron von munchausen (we watch it in german class every year), time bandits
i was sad to see his project "the man who killed don quixote" never got off the ground, but am very excited about his new movie the brothers grimm.
