Tool's breakup

ive recently just got out of a lockdown/rehab facility so ive been out of the loop for a while on a lot of stuff, one of those things is that tool broke up, and that mannard singing in perfect circle now, any info would be greatly appreciated

You may of been informed wrong, Maynard is now in A perfect Circle yes but as far as I know they are still being referred to as a side project and Tool simply have no new material. I'd suggest checking the official Tool website and reading the news section just before you start to worry.

Since Maynard joined A Perfect Circle, Tool put out this little record called "Lateralus," which happens to be the best thing they've ever done.

A Perfect Circle, on the other hand, have put out two albums of 100% pure unfiltered shit.

Tool would be a thousand times greater if Maynard left to do APC full-time and they became an instrumental band. Maynard is one of the most overrated singers in all of rock.

When I read this thread I got scared. :lol:

The fact of the matter is, Tool are actually (or nearly) in the process of their next (and proclaimed last) album. From what I know, they have riffs and shit for the new album, but vocals and perfecting of the 'baby' material had to wait for Maynard to finish touring with APC. Though Maynard did actually get ideas sent to him by the other Tool members while he was on tour, and his responses did contribute to the material. They are supposed to have the album out next year, and also a live DVD out this year sometime.

Its not, Undertow is by far the best stuff they did, I would say that their top three songs are on that CD.

tool has not broken up - they have started work on their next album.

i saw a perfect circle earlier this year and i think it was one of the best bands ive evern seen. their secodn album was more acustic and mellow - really love and loathing based.

i have some reidns who are maynard fanatics so i wont say how great he is cause im sick of hearing it - keen to hear the new music when its done.

Other than the songs they play on the radio, I haven't heard much from A Perfect Circle. Their newer stuff sounds a lot like Tool though, but more "alternative".

I'm glad Tool hasn't broken up. Honestly, they seem like a band that may be around for a very long time.
