That first picture is retarded. It reminds me of those mexican wrestlers who only wrestle with masks on! But anyways, looks don't matter, it's how they play that does. I know I've heard them before but I don't remember what. I know I like the song though. Isn't that weird, and agrivating?!

I used to get high with a friend a lot and we'd always listen to Ween; The Pod, Primus; Pork Soda, Sailing the Seven Sea's of Cheese and Brujeria; Brujerizmo. Brujerizmo is the only great thing they've done, I hate their websites because of the graphic images of mutilation, I also don't like their politics with lyrics like "Oi Soy Anti-Castro" But they are Very surreal, very heavy and very cliched but I think in a good way. Full on music to smoke out of an evaporator too I'll say that much.

I haven't heard much of their stuff (so I don't know much about them), mainly stuff off Splanglish (sp?). As far as death metal (or whatever similar you may class them), I found their sound to be weird. Like a death metal Ill Nino but... maybe with a stronger Latino feel? I dunno, I just found it weird.

Chris I'm positive you've heard them when you've gone round to Reg's with me before. Nothing like Il Nino by the way... trust me on this one.

nothing like El Nino
They might be Anti Castro in one song, but still they support the revolution in Mexico...I mean just listen to that song "Revolucion" he goes "viva zapata, viva chiapas, viva el mexica, viva la revolucion!"

True but they don't have anything short of a narrow and pre-deterministic political outlook they also fail to see contradiction in their beliefs... fuck let's just listen to the music, In fact Cthenthar HAS heard Brujeria I downloaded a song when me and him were at the house of a friend called Windsor. That should jog his memory.

I haven't really listened to thme but I think they are a good band who makes good political music. A friend of mine who is Mexican has Brujeria as one of his favorite bands and he says that they fight for the indios.

They might be revolutionairies in a way, but that doesnt mean they support Castro, I mean they might be capitalists, but are against the American influence in Latin America, what Im trying to say is that you dont have to be a communist/marxist/socialist to be a revolutionairy

I know I have heard Brujeria - I have some of thier mp3s.
Okay... maybe I was a bit narrow-minded to say they were like Ill Nino, but the latino-ness just reminded me of Ill Nino. Sorry.
Thinking about it, I'll listen to the mp3s I have (not many) again and give a better opinion.

Just saw Ill Niņo...
singer did a long anti-Bush speech and changed the lyrics of one song to diss Bush too. Nice!

Brujeria is great stuff. Their first album was the best.

They're a great band too! Last time I saw them was a few years ago when they played with System of a Down and Hatebreed.

Brujeria is better than Ill Nino because they don't take themselves seriously, and because Billy Gould of Faith No More used to play for them.
