i was looking up stuff about about socialism and i found about some type of socialist groupcalled the Fabianists. It sounds like a pretty good idea, they're against violent uprising and aim instead for a steady democratic change to socialism, but thats all i could find out about it, does any1 know anything else about it?

I may be wrong but I think the group was formed the early 20th century by a number of middle class intellectuals in response to people like Booth and Rowntree highlighting the state the poor of the country were in...

Yes, I know about the Fabiens. They were and are generally quite foolish. However, two of their leaders: Sidney and Beatrice Webb(/Potter) were progressive socialists.
