It depends on what type of democracy you are talking about, parliamentary or direct?

You have talked about direct democracy before. Are you saying what I think you are saying? A democracy in which everyone has a vote on everything, like with no representatives. That doesn't sound possible to me. They vote on more seemingly useless but none the less neccesary shit in the senate everyday than you could imagine.
I don't think everyone is going to come out and vote on some little bill about tax breaks for pet-shop owners over age 85. Only the petshop owners will come vote and then the vote is taken from a biased population. Delegates make it easier.

Democracy is the only ethical system. And so is socialism(well communism actualy)!!!!! So i`d say its a perfect match.

Have the workers not only controll the jobs and means of production, but also the laws. It seems a logical step if one is really in favor of the proletariat.

Socialism and a DIRECT democracy must go hand in hand, they have to come together. Ppl who think these ideals are contrasting are obviously ignorant on Socialist theory. For me, a socialist gov. must also be a direct democracy. It is un-acceptable (to me) is you have socialism but not a direct democracy.

I don't agree with parliamentary democracies because I don't believe in reflects a trully classless society. Even though the people in government are representitives of the people they still have more power putting them in a higher social level. And even in a parliamentary democracy the people still have very little say in everything. The politicians come up with all the ideas and laws and the people only pass or deny them but in a direct democracy the ideas come directly from the people.
