I want to take my current avatar and another 1 or maybe 2 images and have them change every few seconds. How do I do this?

Download / buy (downloadings better - it's illegal) a programme like Macromedia Flash MX, and you can create any sort of animation with it.

Paint Shop Pro also comes with a little tool called animation shop that allows you to create animated .gif's - ideal for an avatar.

I'm sure there are free ones too, but it's not something I've ever given much thought. I know you can extract frames from movies using Virtualdub (http://www.virtualdub.org), so I'll give it a shot when I get off work tonight.

I used Adobe ImageReady to make mine which is pretty easy to find and to download.

any flash will do
i have flash 5
i had mx but it wasnt to good
and harder to use

Flash does animated .gif files? I thought it only made 'flash' files...

It says Alfred, so I'm guessing Batman's bulter, that of Col. Sanders, the KFC guy.

The shake your monitor thing was hilarious. I tried with Image ready but was too fresh to it to be able to understand/grasp how to do it. If it's an easy task for anyone could you make a moving avatar for me please? I just want my current avatar to change every 0.8 seconds to the picture below then back according to the same system.
