Why does everything always have to be so boring and dull, you can sit at home and listen to your depressing crap but at least McFly and fucking fun! Yes, they're like a worst-bands-in-the-world compilation cd in every song. If you want some cheerful classic rock get Weezer. Blink 182, Greenday, Busted, McFly, Good Charlotte, they're all just Weezer wannabes....except maybe Greenday....they aren't so bad. I have heard bands like McFly at face value - its not even rock. They're pop and I can't listen to that. If stuff like Nirvana depresses you try the Breeders or The Pixies.

Actually Greenday formed in 1994 I thought. Weezer were 1992...Do your homework *tosses youa nickel* go buy some shoes kid.
About the otehr things....Weezer are as I see it the exact thing all these obnoxious want to be like but are failing miserably. Weezer are a kinda hard punk band but they have that whole kind of angst and slight lightness all these new bands are ripping off. Weezer were the first band I can think of which had that soft punk ethos. Yes, back in February 1992, BEFORE stuff liek Greenday came out. Weezer are also "stickin' up for tha geeks" which mcfly/busted/etc act like they're doing but clearly aren't

I used to like Weezer alot when I was in middle school, I'm not really a fan these days. They aren't bad, I just don't really like them. Same with Greenday, though I do respect them somewhat, I mean, Billy Joe was in Operation Ivy for like 3 days.
