My dad recently gave me a book of short stories by Ernest Heminghway and it made a lot of mention to the Anarchists in Spain and the Paris Commune.I thoroughly enjoyed it and afterwards I had a little talk with my father. Turns out hes a really big fan of the author and told me that Farewell To Arms was about the Spanish Civil War. I wanted to know if anybody has read the book and if it is worth me buying and reading.

I read A Farewell To Arms but it wasent about the Spainish Civil War! It was about a US medic that lived in Italy during WWI!
You are probally think of The Sun Also Rises which is written by Heminghway and takes place in spain, i never read it though.

I'm reading a farewell to arms at the moment, it's very good. If you're interested in the spanish civil war make sure you read A Homage to Catalonia by George Orwell. And in London, near the london eye on the south bank there's a monument to the people from england who went to fight in the civil war (like orwell, etc).
