The one who wrote this makes some interesting points, and some startling findings about America. I like that he pointed out the China/America meld going on.

Americans started writing these kinds of pieces while the ink on the Construction was still damp.

From the very beginning, the efforts of the wealthy and powerful to restrict the rights and liberties of ordinary people have been unceasing...and largely successful.

It ain't exactly "late-breaking news".

But aside from hand-wringing and whining, such folks (however well-meaning) simply cannot perceive any revolutionary alternative.

In fact, the abstract defense of "civil liberties" ignores the issue of class...and much else as well.

As an old newspaperman once remarked: "Freedom of the press applies only to those who can afford to buy one."

And when you finally do get that "press" in your possession, the second you start spouting left-wing "extremism", you're labeled "insane," meaning, you're automatically rendered impotent.
