Marlon Brando, the maestro, dead. Today is a very sad day. Possibly the greatest actor ever is dead. His genius will live on forever.

Greatest actor.
I woke up and saw the news, "Brando had at least 11 kids."

Greatest actor of all time.
It's a shame he will have be remembered for his role in The Score being his last movie.
He was involved in the production of an autiobiographical movie about his life, in which he was to play himself.
I suppose that's not going to happen now, unless they already had enough footage of Brando to use for the rest of the movie.
I really wish that would have come out.
This is actually the first time I've ever genuinely cared about a celebrity's death. Brando was one of the few famous people I truly admired.

When I think of Brando, I first think of "On the Waterfront" because I've seen it a dozen or so times.. and then "Apocalypse Now." Just mesmerizing he was, and absolutely beautiful when he was young.

He was really hot when he was young, and even hotter when he was older.
Shame, he was great as Colonel Kurtz in Apoc.

I guess that's the price you pay for being over the hill.
It's not really sad though - the guy lived for eighty years and acted well in many great films.
What is sad is that he died alone, lonely and in debt.

The day he died, there were so many people renting his movies. I went to rent Godfather 2, wasn't there. I looked around, couldn't find anything. An employee walks buy and tells me "Brando? The last movie with him in it was taken out hours ago".

What most people don't realize about Brando that he was a big supporter of the Black Panthers, Bobby Seale was a personal friend. The Native American Indian movement, Marched in Civil Rights marches, went on Freedom Rides etc.
At one Academy Award ceremony, he sent a Native American to accept his award and use the time to make a short protest speech.
Truly a guy that "put his money where his mouth is"
