Anyone have any idea for the break up of Rage? Did the beliefs of the members change? Are Morello and De La Rocha still politically active? It was just nice to have a artist in the mainstream to get out the message, that change MUST be made.

sex, drugs, rock and roll, not everybody can handle it for very long.
I've moved this from Politics to here.
I heard the split was because Zack wanted to pursue a solo career, and that relations between the band members is still fine.
Renegades sucked so I guess any newer stuff would have as well, guess it was for the best.

Sorry about that Ian . I 'll be sure to make sure next time the correct place to put a post. I was just wondering if Morello and Zack still had the same basic beliefs. I have the Audioslave cd and there is nothing with a political message there. As far as Zack goes has he done anything yet?
Zack is still politcal, have you heard his latest song? "March of Death"
Morello is also political, check out www.axisofjustice.com

The rest of the members just weren't artistically comptable with Zack de la Rocha. They , "could not function as a group," anymore, according to Zack.

I heard that They were starting to get annoyed by Zach's "me" personality he was starting to develope. It's hard to stay together when the singer (the guy most people identify in a group) wants to have some solo things put out. Not to mention, although Tim C and Zach were friends since grade school, the band was rarely together outside of "band" things. It happens, bands don't usually last forever.

Rage broke up because the band was putting out the same exact album year after year. The three members of Rage who weren't the singer went and formed on of the shittiest bands of the past decade, while Zack has yet to release anything more than a single track of is solo work. The split was inevitable.
