When i went to go buy tickets for Farienhiet 9/11 I was talking with a woman who was from the league of conservation voters who wanted to give me an internship with their organization. I was interested mainly because it meant I could stay in Milwaukee for another month, I never wanted to move away in teh first place.
I considered it, mainly because I hate Bush. But in all honesty, I can not support john kerry. is he the lesser of two evils? Yes...but what was the real difference between Hitler and Mussolini? So i probably wont do the internship, though I love politics and it would be a great oppurtunity, despite the obvious differences in political views.
Anyway, since I probably can't do that, i was wondering if someone could help me organize a che-Lives sponsored Anti_bush campaign. It would only seem fair to do an anti-kerry one too, but the way I see it, if kerry wins he'll be in the same category as Taft and or Monroe, no one really cares about them. My pure unfaltering hatred for Bush outways any disdain I have for kerry. Thus the campaign will be focused on tarnishing bush's image, as opposed to supporting kerry in any way shape or form.
What I plan to do is make it an almost complete internet campaign, devoted to getting the truth out about George Bush's failures regarding, the war in Iraq, the enviroment, and his inability to help the middle and lower classes, as well as his inflated budget that has cut funding to school programs, education, and given it to the military. Not to mention his administrations selling out to the oil companies, and their secrecy regarding teh goings on in the white house.
I will need people who can be...
1. Researches: These people will do large amounts of research, not just going to google. This will require long hours of information gathering from all of the major news sources, independent news sources, libraries, as well as any of the new antii-bush books. Including a book called "imperial hubris: How the west is loosing the war on terrorism". This also includes researching teh bush administrations arguements for the president, and finding ways to counter these arguements.
2. Writers: People who have a knack for arguementation and more importantly Oration. If you have experience in writing speeches, articles, etc. Then we need you to help pull all of the research into a cohesive piece of work.
3. Computer Artists: We need people to design posters as well as help us create layouts for literature that we'll pass out.
4. "Foot Soldiers": We need people who can go out on the streets to pass out literature, as well as put up posters and basically bring our message to the public.
5. Internet Soldiers: We need people to help email large groups of people our messege as well as go to messege boards and chat rooms posting our information
6. Administration: I'd also appreciate anyone who wants to help me coordinate this campaign.
I honestly think that this Che-Lives campaign would be a wonderful way for all of us grass roots activists to get get some experience in bringing our messege to the people. And while I know that alot of you don't really find democratic events relevant, contrary to what some people think George Bush hasn't made America any more militant than anyone else. All it's done is polarize the nation, and convince more and more people to become pro capitalism, and pro imperialism. It's time that we stopped hoping that things getting worse will help our cause, and start trying to take back this nation from the brink of Conservatism...I mean insanity.

1. Research: Without research we have no basis for a campaign so we must first go out and look for the information that we will utilize. WE'll need research in the following areas- Education, Economy/Taxes, Iraq, Administration secrecy.
2. Creating a website: While we are doing research we will also need to create a website for the campaign.
3. Organizing arguements: Once we've done the research and have established the website we'll need to organize the information into cohesive arguements. This will require a good deal of writing and editing
4. Creating Leaflets and E-Literature: This will entail designing literature and printing.
5. Emailing and handing out Leaflets: At this stage we will begin distributing our information online and to people out on the streets.
Even though we haven't officailly begun the project you can begin with step one at your liesure.
