Why don't we, communists and anarchists, buy, or move to our own lonely island, and build things from scratch? Then, if we're too many, the rest settle down at the neighbour island, and in the and we have our own giant society. Think about it! :D

They are fucking cheap in Africa, I guess...

and also the american goverment would intervine as they always would and attack us blow us up blah blah blah

So why don't we let them try to do it? I wouldn't mind them trying, as long as I could kill them after they've landed. Let the fuckers come and kill us all!

....That's plan B.

So let's just gather a bunch of communists and anarchists, buy an island, and see how it goes. I'm serious.

some other mad fuck tried this a few months ago, it failed. leave it at that.

Justice, we dont want communism for ourselves, but to end the injustice on the workers, whats the point in an island if it aint gonna help the working class?

There are already countless 'communes' scattered across the globe as we speak.... Much as I appreciate the sentiment behind the theory, it's not really necessary. There is bound to be somewhere for you to stick your head in the sand if that's what you so wish.

Personally, I'll continue to try and persuade people that we should all be doing this...

<_<

I didn't mean it in that manner. I remember thinking this at one point...

'Fuck em all, lets find an island'

this progressed onto

'Fuck em all, lets find a nuke'

and finally

'shit'

I'm really not sure where to go from here ;)

I know. But the working class is bothering me (I am working class, but the rest of them). I try to be polite and help them, and they call me "fucking communist maniac", "idealist", "communism is evil", "brainwashed fool" or the usual "fuck off we are free!!!!"
I try to help them, but now I just want to crush their heads. Some of them are 100% ignorant. Even if I break down every thing they have against communism, they are still saying "this is a democracy, communism isn't"

On the other hand, we can buy an island, make our own society, then we can use propaganda against the capitalists, like spreading information about the place through the internet or television, and people can see how nice we have it, where no one is exploited. It'll be a great example.

If you do wish to do something, can I advise you don't use any form of propoganda to 'push' your society?

You'll only attract an unsavoury element.

nothing wrong with a few happy pictures to sway peoples minds in the right directions :D

DaCuBaN

That's entirely my point - it would be 'swaying' them one way or another rather than them making a choice that it is 'right'.

You can take a horse to water, but you can't make it drink - the same applies.

On a side note, this would also make you just as bad as all the others out there brainwashing the populous.

Let me see:
It's difficult, or nearly impossible (at least this is how I've experienced it) to make someone who's a liberal, or conservative for that matter, a communist. So how are we going to "convert all workers to free themselves from the chains of capitalism"?

Take how the English dealt with the Scots - breed in ;)

I think when capitalism becomes more clearer (i.e public funded healthsystems removed etc), and not hidden by socialdemocracy more people will look into alternatives to capitalism.

BTW, take a look at http://www.sealandgov.com/, read their history - Then even had a war. heh.

Twisted, interesting, so you think it will get much worse before it gets better? That's something that fascinates me, and also deciding whether we should fight it slowly and perhaps delay the real revolution. It's all rather complicated, isn't it?!

The island idea sound great, but it's no way going to work. We've got to be out there either engaging with the working classes of the world (it's global now) or making our voices heard to the people in power, or both if you can!

Of course it will. And through the misery that the broken capitalism creates, people will look at communism with other eyes.

However, I don't see the reason to delay the revolution if there's enough support in it to make it possible?

I'm tired of the working class and all the other idiots. I've used all my day trying to teach them about communism, and what I got back was that I was an "idiotic little kid wanting a pipedream".

Glory,
A revolution without the people's support will just make it another dictatorship. It won't work. I don't like the working class anymore. I don't even like myself anymore because of those idiots, because I couldn't even imagine people were so stupid. To hell with the working class! I just want to move away from this shit. I want an Island, GOD DAMNIT!

How old are these working class people? I've experienced a lot of ignorant teenagers/young people, but when they have some years of work behind them, they will understand better. Don't expect to be sucsessful at trying to convice people at a highscool.

I did not say that either. I merely gave him a link to some people who had moved to a island.
