im posting here because some of the restricted members of this board can tell apart lefties from people who want to be lefties

when a righty from this board calls you a "wana be commie" maybe its because you lack knownledge on marxism but you are willing to argue regardless or else why would he call you that ?

lets be honest here, not every lefty here has the same knowledge and not every righty here has the same knowledge
i think you guys know who is who

so do us a favor and next time you see a lefty stating something thats not true about communism just correct him or else a righty will argue

You do have a point. But the fact that you refer to only communists are left-wingers is a false statement. I am infact a left-winger because I do believe in government programs such as social security, medicare, etc.... although I do believe in reforming the welfare system to a workfare system for those who are able to work. I also believe that goverments must intervine in trade.

But back to the main topic. You say that some "lefties" i.e pinkos, agree with marxist ideals however are uneducated in the subject. I concur. But I will also point out that that makes them pinkos. They support something that they lack a full understand of. Therefore there reason to support it is not because they agree with actual marxist ideals but because of other "wannabe cool and rebellious" reasons. These are the same people that make up the majority of the board and unfortunately are the same people that use the infamous U.$=Evil debate.

There was a time when I was ignorant to Marxist theory but supported the world view of many past Marxist leaders. I didn't "want to be cool" and I was far from a rebel. Since though my theory has been enriched. I don't think you should look down on a person because they don't totally understand what it is to take on this or that label.

The reason, I think, that there are so many people who barely know of what they speak is that a lot of folks here started out being liberals and sensed that although liberalism addresses the correct problems, it doesn't identify the real source of those problems and it doesn't go far enough in trying to solve them. This naturally draws people to Communism, and I think that exploring a message board is a great way to introduce these newcomers to Marxist ideology.

Every lefty here is responsible for his fellow lefty and yes, as i have seen it when one makes a wrong statement about communism, he is corrected. It is not like you are a lefty and you agree with whatever one says even if it is wrong just because he is a lefty.
