Everything it seems have become censored. In music you cant say fuck once with out getting a parentle advisory sticker on your album, and on TV if you show the body of a dead soilder you are "discracing" what that soiler died for. Is it going to far to censore what is happening in a time of war, when most wars are bloddy conflixs?

I understand why cencorship takes place, to make things seem better than they are. While showing non-censored war would allow people to really realize the atrocities of war, I don't think the people would know how to react to it.
That whole thing about the girl who got fired for taking the pictures of the caskets of deceased soldiers with flags draped over was just stupid. Now, since she got fired for showing the caskets, then why was the REST of the media allowed to show the picture that got HER fired, without and type of punishment? Her story was all over the news and I saw this picture, which actually seemed to be themed quite patriotically, every time I watched the news. What allows the majority of the media, that didn't take the picture to show it, but not the photographer? The whole thing was a fight over something stupid. I'm sure there were far more important issues, maybe like the ACTUAL war.

A lot of it has to do with the government trying to prevent a negative political impact by preventing you from seeing things that would make them look bad, as well as an attempt by the overly conservative, political elite to appease the overly conservative, burgesiouse by pretending that they care about so called "morality"

People would realize just how terible that war is any not want to have anymore of it. It would sicken the masses to show the true destructive nature of war, and not the hollywood rendition of it.

Exactly Kobbot, but I doubt it would stop wars. As a result, less people will want to join the military, and when the military is short they will do a draft, and those people will be forced to fight and experience war. The only difference would be that instead of volunteering for war yourself, the military volunteers you.
