The Socialist Party USA (a democratic-socialist party) is currently running the following two candidates in the upcoming 2002 elections:

The Socialist Party of New Jersey has nominated Greg Pason to be its 2002 candidate for U.S. Senator against Robert Torricelli, the ethically impaired power broker who has been one of the most hawkish Democratic supporters of President Bush’s foreign policy.
“Bombs and threats are not a rational foreign policy. Sen. Torricelli’s support of narrow-minded and unilateral military threats and actions put all our lives at risk,” said Pason, who calls for a 50% reduction in military spending and for ratification of the International Criminal Court. While campaign staff and supporters view Greg Pason’s candidacy as an extension of the peace and justice movement, it is also an attempt to establish a permanent Socialist ballot line in New Jersey.

Eric Chester, Socialist Vice Presidential nominee in 1996, is running as an independent against John Olver in Massachussets' 1st Congressional district. Olver, a Democrat, receives large
campaign contributions from military contractors, and, unsurprisingly, has supported Bush's war. Chester's platform calls for propose an immediate 50% cut in the military budget, with the money being shifted to essential social services.

i seen this TV show about the USA- more of the electorate seem to not want socialism- they did not want to give to health care or welfare- they claim it's a "well if we could make it, surely everyone else can- i ain't giving my money to someone unwilling to work"
