CHE THE MOVIE

Anyone know hen it's coming out or how biased it is yet? Anybody know anything about it? I know I read about it like nearly 2 years ago and it's still not out and that Benicio Del Toro will play Che. Can anyone tell me more?

Well on yahoo, there is some talk about it. but there erally isnt a website or anything linking a Che movie... keep looking and if you find somthing let us know.

I think that more likely than it being biased it will present a, "watered down," image of Guevara, much like the Malcom X movie did to Malcom.

So then was the Malcolm X movie actually worth seeing? I've yet to make the effort to get my hands on a copy.

Yeah the Malcolm X movie was good in my opinion, Denzel Washington did an excellent job.

The portrayal however wasn't the greatest...it emphasized his hate for the white ppl too much...like he displayed the aggression of the 'blacks'...and it never really explored why he felt that way.

The ending was really well done...the whole movie was really good just with a few things that need to be changed. I'd recommend it for sure.

the motorcycle diaries are going to be getting rants and raves but its going to suck for the leftists community. Comericalizationg of che and who and what he is. They also depict che as a clean shaven tidey man from what i know he was a unshaven man who hated taking baths and only took them if he needed to.

If they could get a factual portrayal of Che Guevara with people working on the film who actually has an appreciation for the man, I think the film could be true to Che.

As for commercializing, I seriously doubt it. The Motorcycle Diaries will defintely only be released in select cities. It's not like there's going to be a movie poster for it on every corner, a commercial on every channel or Che Guevara candy containers at 7-11 gas stations.
