I would like to know something more about the colleague and the companion of Che on his trip arround South America - Alberto Granado. Was this guy a leftist, and did he took part in the Cuban Revolution? Some articles about his life and what he did after the trip would be welcomed, of course.

From what I know, he was not a leftist, and he stayed in SA to be a doctor, while the revolution took place. Later, during the early 60s, he came and lived in Cuba at Che's invite.

"Mial" as Che called him, shared similar views to Che. This is natural as he came from a similar background and they went on the same trip together which, arguable, began to shape Che's ideology.

From what I know, he had no active part in the revolution. It's true that he returned to Argentina to become a Doctor; the very future Che snubbed to join Fidel in Mexico.

As the last person said, he came to Cuba when Che asked him but I'm not sure- i think he carried on being a doctor there. You'll have to check though.
