First topic... Just the other day I was browsing the shelves of the video rental bastard when I came across a video called "Osama" I was intrigued so I read the back cover. It's a foreign film in Pashtu with English subtitles about Afganistan and the Taliban and such. Has anyone seen or heard of it ?

Second... In "Evita" the character played by Antonio Banderas is called Che. I was curious as to why Andrew Lloyd Weber and Tim Rice chose to call the narrator Che. I good idea or not on their parts?

Lastly... I saw "The Day after Tomorrow" yesterday. In it, the vice-president of the U.S. was more outspoken, more prominent, and seemed to be more important than the actual president. I immediately thought of Cheny and Bush. Anyone else make any connections?

Osama was a good flick...certainly not a feel-good movie, however. To make it even more depressing, I saw it with a terrible, worthless ***** who was trying to be my friend again after realizing I was the best thing that ever happened to her. She put her head on my shoulder...but not in the "put your arm around me and eventually kiss me" way but rather in the "you make me feel so safe...I love you in a nonsexual way" way.

Osama was the first movei made in Afghanistan after the fall of the aliban, its amde with American money so it shows them in a good light. Its basically made to show the brutality of the Taliban. I havent seen it yet, it comes out at the local movie theatre here on the 1st july.

I fucking hate it when they do that.

I did notice that the narrator was named Che, very interesting.
