hey,
guys!do you know about the indian communism?
there are two main communist groups over here!
the cpi[communist party of india]formed initially was strong enough.
the revolutionary communists split off from original group and formed another party-cpi[ml]{marxist-leninist} the leninists are the the extrimist group of people who directly fought with weapons.
the movement is stronger even now in certain places.these people are locally called as naxalites, maoists.

the next part of communists are non-radical political group who thought of achieving communism by political democratc way.they have survived for some extent in the country.there is a communist government in bengal state which came in to existance 25 years ago!and even now.

the communist paty groups in india are mainly 3 in number-

cpm,cpi,cpml

this is a brief information of communist party in india.

rahul, have any of these parties ever been in power anywhere in India, and if so, have they been good or bad?

What about the naxalites? Are they successful at all? Do they have much support?

less number people support naxals.
the naxalite movment was stronger previously.
the naxals, are against democracy and so the people dont try 2 support them much.
naxals believe in immediate revolution.
there are very less naxals in our state.their number have fallen to 10's and 100's in recent years.

the terrorist groups[maoists] near the boarder are a bit poweful.
