Sounds Good! i find their no-bullshit approach refreshing.

Not sure about their approach to bourgeois politics tho.

There one of those neo-Trotskyist type organisations. The ones that call themselves Trotskyist but have revised Trotskyism. They want a Labour Party kind of socialism. Their things they say have been said before by other groups. They say they are against sectarianism however they put enough catches in their program to rule out the support of many different socialists.

Not only they but they are not even socialists, they think the Labour Party was socialism. They are a reformist/revisionist group; they have revised socialism, they say that socialism can be created by reforming capitalism so they have revised the meaning of socialism.

I think they are bourgeois socialists, they are victims of a false (bourgeois) consciousness like most socialists in Britain.

EDIT: They also say that we should not focus on taking power but seeking small changes now.. However, we cannot take control of the means of production or destroy the bourgeoisie and bourgeois ideas if we do not take power. They mention Marxism but their ideas are too far removed from his ideas to be worthy of mentioning his name.

My doubts were true :(

Nothing seems to change

They seem to be a bunch of romantic leftists to me:

We live in a time when...the number of strikes is the lowest since records began.
They seem to be obsessed with the "cool" side of the left. They want trouble just for the sake of it.
They proudly show pictures of them being beaten up at a demonstration. They aren't interested in the true left.

BTW if you read the site, they do not like "Labour"

New Labour is determined to wipe the working class out politically: ‘everyone will in future be designated middle class -or- underclass’ we are informed.

They think that old Labour was good, but they don't seem to want to go further left than that.

After some local organisations in sweden (I'm biased) RA is my favourite organisation.
We need more skinheads in the leftist movement, and there seem to be a couple of shaven heads in their ranks!

I was quite impressed with RESPECT actually, they seemed to start out of nothing and they got quite a bit of power at an astounding speed. Though their still small fries to the main parties, alas...

Oh well, i take pride in knowing i was the 2nd person EVER to sign their online Petition. =D

I made a petition in support of Respect. Only me and "Dr Nick" as he called himself, signed it.

ahh i agree with their principles, but George Galloway has 5 houses and 15 cars, not very socialist, also they are going for the middle class vote

And to add, they water down their politics to suit religious people.

Red Action helped set up Anti-Fascist Action which is a good thing.

But I've noticed recently that you are getting more and more nazis posting on their message board. People like Trevor Agnew who is the North East organiser for the bnp and also has links with combat 18.
