sepultura has had lots of leftie songs.

and soulfly does to. tho max is christian now and for some reason on his new album (prophesy) it had a thank you to the romanov family (alongside one to che guevara)..wierd.

heres a few sepultura lyrics from the old days:

(bit from 'refuse/resist')
Chaos A.D.
Tanks On The Streets
Confronting Police
Bleeding The Plebs
Raging Crowd
Burning Cars
Bloodshed Starts
Who'll Be Alive?!

(bit from 'territory')
Choice Control
Behind Propaganda
Poor Information
To Manage Your Anger

War For Territory
War For Territory

Dictators' Speech
Blasting Off Your Life
Rule To Kill The Urge
Dumb Assholes' Speech

Years Of Fighting
Teaching My Son
To Believe In That Man
Racist Human Being
Racist Ground Will Live
Shame And Regret
Of The Pride
You've Once Possessed

and great song names like didctatorshit, propaghanda, clenched fist, slave new world, biotech is godzilla.

from sepultura now (with derrick as singer):

('more of the same' )
The speech doesn't reach
The killing doesn't fix
No one is free from the fate
That a few men force us to take

Over paid and over weight
Population does not stop creating
Ill heart that can't love no more
The whole state closing down its doors

(from 'activist')
Don't fear your left
Don't trust your right
Activist

Our way of seeing progress
Making us walk towards repression
Disturbing our peace
In the name of self defense
Being felt by all
Our violent taste for the humans fall

and from Soulfly:

(a section from the song 'bumba')
Bring our roots, we're under the sun
From in the jungle and from the slums
Our freedom we bring with this song
Never forget where you came from!

(heres a bit from the song 'mulambo')
Mulambo - Mulambo- Mulambo - MulamboRevolutionary como "Zapata" (Zapata: Mexican revolutionary) Revolutionary e "Che Guevara" (Che Guevara: Third World revolutionary)
Revolutionary como "Zumbi" (Zumbi: Brasilain slave hero) Revolutionary to the "most high"

(soulfly did a cover of this song on the album 3)
ONE NATION

A vision of unselfishness, a union of black and white
One nation of all races, it's clear within my sight
I see it clear, no hate, no fear, no soldiers sent to die
A state that's free and thrives on peace, no greed, no threat to life

We won't build the weapons of war which looms over your heads We'll not feed the war machines that lead our youth to death We won't close our eyes to the atrocities which abound

We won't stand and watch until we're six feet underground

The future is our burden, we can't stand and watch
As the world around crumbles, opposing armies march
We work towards our goal: one nation - unity
And you must be the convert who works towards world peace

Muthafuckers around us who stand and say no way
Opposing lessened armies, they say are here to stay
But no one knows until we try, what we all can do
I won't watch children die, it's up to me and you

Our world is divided, the boundaries have been drawn
Ideas are decided by where you have been born
You can't judge people by the government of their land
They're flesh and blood like us - why don't you understand?

The future is our burden, we can't stand and watch
As the world around crumbles, opposing armies march
We work towards our goal: one nation - unity
And you must be the convert who works towards world peace

Hell yeah, I love Sepultura as you can tell :D

They're stuff is great, especially back when they still had Max Cavalera. I'm actually listening to the Schizophrenia album right now :)
