i've heard rumours about a filmversion of motor cycle diaries, am i mistaken? please tell me.

is it done by a big producer eg miramax (exploiting the true word of che), or is it a private hobby film

Not sure who's distributing but it's produced by Robert Redford's studio - I think and is in Spanish, directed by Walter Salles an excellant Brazilan director - it received good reviews recently at Cannes...

No Benicio del Toro's film is going to a huge big budget film, this is just about the motorcycle diaries

it was given really good reviews at cannes end elsewhere.

Gael Bernal playes Che, and he is amazing.

just a good drama movie.
