Cannot say that I support Saddam, rather I choose to remain fairly indifferent towards the man until all the information is revealed about the UN revelations on WMD, Biowarfare stashes, etc. (I genuinely don't accept the current speculation as it's not concrete enough.)
However, were there a day when I heard that he had, in all truth, been murdered, I would be bloody angry, incredibly pissed off. Especially if it were carried out via the orders of another government.

MMy feelings of anger towards Sadam are not due to the so called weapons plants but instead relate to his treatment of minorities particularly the kurds.
Though like you I would be pissed off if anopther government particulayly the united states had ppresumed to have the moral athority to murder him.

Are you indifferent towards gassing civilians? How objective of you.

Iam a iraki-Kurd (ok iam not a real one i even don't speak kurdish. But my father is.)And i think it would be good for every human within a radius of 2000km from Bagdad. 6 of my family members died in Hlabjah 1989. I don't care if they americans, the mossad or the kurds kill him.The best would be that he dies because of cancer or anythiung like that.

Are you indifferent towards gassing civilians? How objective of you.Yes, yes, yes. My family is German, too - suppose I'm a Nazi because I know people who's ancestors were in the SS, not to mention possibly have them in my own ancestry. Damn me to hell, Satan! Blah, blah, blah. The UN doesn't even have PROOF that there were indeed gassings. I suppose you believe in the lie about the baby slayings in Kuwait, also? Or the young girl telling America about how bad Iraq was to Kuwait? Let me bring something to your attention, ignorant fool - that girl was the daughter of the American Ambassador to Kuwait, told to speak up by her father on behalf of a plan hatched by the U.S Government to slam Iraq in the opinion of the world. It worked temporarily, the truth has since come out.
Until there is solid - SOLID - evidence, not just speculation on behalf of a nation which is clearly out for blood with it's own national interest and thirst for oil in mind, I will not - I repeat, WILL NOT - be sucked into stupid mind games. Do you understand that? Where is your ability to think for yourself?
Let me reiterate - YOU DO NOT GO OUT AND MURDER PEOPLE ON MERE SPECULATION. Were that the case, I would have full right to murder your entire family without any legitimate reason, just that I felt like it, and made up a silly excuse to back my claim.
I would like to think the world a little more intelligent than that.
Grow up, or piss off.

Angie. (have you maybe read this text in which the author compared this occurence with one in roman times?) It's right that they were no baby slayings in Kuwait. The irakis had no reason to be brutal against the people. The kuwaitis are the same people as the irakis. Before 1920(i think it was 1920) kuwait belonged to irak. They "kuwaitis" do not exist. They are arabs like the irakis. It was only divided because of the oilreserves in kuwait. And the war against saddam was only fought because the irak and other oil-rich countries tried to build industries(chemcal industrie in irak, steel in iran etc.) The saudis enlarged there yearly food production so they had been indepent from food imports soon. But during they war many food-projects in northern saudi-arabia were destroyed: collatteral damage.

Deimos, the information I have about the baby slayings came not from a book but from contacts within the European political society. My fiance is the son of one of Germany's Diplomats, I have excellent links.
The book sounds very interesting!
Thank you for sharing the information that you have - clearly you have taken the time to research the issue, and I appreciate your taking further time to share this knowledge with us.
