So, I'm new and I figured I'd introduce myself.

I'm Thud and I'm a Norwegian punk rocker. I'm in a band that some of you might have heard of, but let's just leave it at that.

[FONT=Times]i joined the community today also. don't know why. i mean i do know why but now i think i've made a mistake because no real problem will ever be solved here. only talk, talk, talk... i saw things like "che will live in our hearts forever" but that's not where i want to see che. i want to see che out on the street, in action. i actually ran into this page by accident and on che's birthday which is kind of cool so i took it as a sign to join which i usually don't do because i don't believe in signs, visions and other phenomena. i am disappointed.

I posted a negative comment about Stalin in the Opposing Ideologies forum and people started to demand me being banned because they didn't like my avatar.

[FONT=Times] i don't like the fact that these avatars exist along with signatures. it is all just sort of make-up, look at my cool quotes and thoughts. i also disagree with the whole restriction thing. as leftists if we are true leftists then the freedom of speech must exist at least to know who is who and what kind of person he/she is. after all freedom of speech is a very powerful instrument in the control over the masses.

welcome thud. punk huh? I already like you! i hope you aren't disappointed with this board. despite the great amount of talk that goes on here, some of it becomes useful for the work some of us do on the streets. it also brings different people's views together and can help us understand flaws in our thinking, because face it, as humans none of us are perfect in our logic (except perhaps comrade RAF.....that's a joke).

About the Avatar thing, don't let anyone pressure you into anything about your avatar. if you don't want one, don't have one.....

boško buha i have a question for you...you say you dislike the avatars and the signatures that you can have, but then you spout the power of free speach. Is that not a contradiction?

and comrade raf IS NOT more equal, although he seems to have a cult following for some reason. Personally i don't get it and have had many many an argument with him where he simply refuses to continue to talk to me..... he gets no respect from me.

and actually i'm very shocked that you had a bad response to negative comments about stalin ... in fact most of us here really dislike stalinists.

as for the whole banning thing .... its a decision that the board made and the only way you will get any kind of warning is if you start being racist, sexest, homophobic and the like. as long as you are open minded you are ok. in fact this board operated for a very very long time without a banning. the first banning was done after 9/11 and someone made a very very racist comment, and even then, the banning was decided upon by the board itself.

Well, theres a picture thread if you'd like but Che-Lives is a place for descussion, thats probably why you see so much talk talk talk. :)

This board isn't nessescarily about solving the worlds problems, it's a board where you can learn and develop your ideas!
