I was talking to a friend and he said on the AOL welcome screen there was a current event article where the United states wanted to change the color of the money. Why I have no idea. ..maybe for vintage reasons? Or because we have nothing better to do? In my oppion if this is true it is a complete waste of time.

My advise is to make them red in colour, which means blood of all the victims of US politics and of all the oppressed ones.

What a complete waste of time... so darn stupid...... you know it would cost 'em money. why not spend it on a good cause rather than something visual and low?

After the government spent all that time and money on re-naming the National Airport after the man who fired all of the air traffic controllers, it would be impossible to truly surprise me.
But this comes pretty close. I understand that conterfeiting is a problem, but I'm not so sure this is the solution. If so many of the bills are printed by computer now, wouldn't the counterfeiters just have to change the ink colors? This won't really tackle the problem. (But the new money would sure look pretty!)

Yea I dunno whats up with it but this probably wouldn't solve anything. But I'll admit I wouldn't mind carrying around bright red money or dark i suppose. But the money lost could / should be used for a luttle more important matters. I mean all the countifeters are doing is creating more money that could be used for good. I mean just because the government doesn't approves. . . i mean obviously it would get outta control and throw off the economy but I'm really going off on a limb of thoughts that are just occuring to me. . . .please don't post a reply telling me how dumb this is. Cause I alreday know. well .. ummm. . .bye

*laughs*
When you pay taxes you could make them "scratch and sniff" notes in the style of what the tax is going to spent on. Gunpowder scent will be very common, with the scent of new books for education being very uncommon.

The money could taste like flavored condoms. We'd know what Congress is up to.
We should have money that's made like those hologram stickers. That would be very hard to copy. (And it would also be a lot of fun.) I'm off to write to my Congressperson . . . hologram money would be great!

Australia's current notes have looked like Monopoly money for years - all colourful, fake-looking, plastic, etc.
$5 (http://members.ozemail.com.au/~enigman/australia/five_dol.html), $10 (http://members.ozemail.com.au/~enigman/australia/ten_dol.html), $20 (http://members.ozemail.com.au/~enigman/australia/twnty_dol.html), $50 (http://members.ozemail.com.au/~enigman/australia/fifty_dol.html), $100 (http://members.ozemail.com.au/~enigman/australia/hndrd_dol.html).
That's actually the 'older' new $5 note - they've brightened it up a bit with version 2.0, but the old note's still very much in circulation, regardless.

Besides spending millions on getting rid of its waste, bombing ppl out of revenge, do they ever spend it on something other than a visual low blow? This is just ridiculous, but then again, the U$ is saturated with money, their is only so many ppl they can bomb and get away with it. But all in all, this would make U$ currency Fun and Festive... like balloons! *smiles with joy

USA want to spend money on their money. Seems like they have enough and it wouldn't let to any economical decline. They could spend it on something more useful, for example social security, but they love their fucking dollars more, and now they wanna spend them in order to make them more " beautiful". FUCKING FOOLS!!!!
