everyone forgets this thing we called colonialism. eurpoean countries ruled the werold and in exchange for the obeidiance of third wold countries we gave them legal sytems, protection of the law education health care, an oppertunity to climb out of the gutter.

then in 50's and 60's all the third wolrd intelligencia whod benefited from this marvouless system decided to use their education etc to get the power over their countries on grounds of rasicm, democracy natioanlism etc. the west fell for this and the third world leaders peomptly all becam despotic dictators and proceeded to qwreck all the instittuions which enabled them to get as far as they did for fear of others ursurping them.

and now they have the cheek to demand the west give them money and health care etc (institutions which they rejected and destroyed) without usd even having the slight benefit of safe cheap holiday destinations and the right to wear a pith helmet and safari suit.

so basically the west tried to help them and they rejected our help. we dont need to keep them down as thety are quite plainl very capable of doing thisd themselves. theyve made their bed so now they can lay in it. and that boys and girls is why i neer give to oxfam, medisans san frontier, world vision etc.

Yes....if we all accepted the West, everybody would have been prosperous...before the 50's and 60's the Third World countries were great and marvelou like the west

More to come soon....pro Imperialist crap...pisses me off!

Well, the more pissed off you are about Capitalism and its sister Imperialism, the better.

We cannot allow the Left to meekly accept the status quo, or to timidly squeak out a protest every so often that does not even dent the surface of Capitalism. We need to get oragnized, serious and bigger. To destroy the things we hate, we need to be bigger and stronger than them.

I like the way you think! I mean in my history book it says something like "the militairy juntas in Latin America brought peace, freedom and democracy to those countries" I mean WTF!!! My mom wanted to rip the book into pieces when she read that (she lived in Peru, where from time to time you had some nice militairy revolutions).

But yah...maybe Fidela and Pinochet were really good men who brought peace, freedom and prosperity to Argentina and Chile...yah the people were really wealthy and free in that time

And then when you say these things to capitalists...they say something like "well the USSR killed people too!"

great arguments

The USSR was a Stalinist, authoritarian run country, not a Socialist state which was to ultimately lead to a Communist society. It was corrupt, bureacratic and helped to turn Communism into something evil and totalitarian.

Yeah, the ruling class was wealthy and free. They always are. All those "losers" (at least 70% of the people) have the "freedom" to become rich, or should I say the "freedom" to be whores to the ruling class?

You obviously are confused about what Socialism is. I suggest you research actual history (be prepared to actually discard your western "history" books) and quit slurping down the complete historical revisionism that you currently suck down like a free Slurpee.

Your unique perception of the way the USSR was is completely fallicious and for the most part, silly. Not even actual anti USSR scholars would be so bold as to lie as profoundly as you just did.

I would suspect it is because these accusations are so easily debunked in the post cold-war era, that it would be literary suicide to put your name on a garbage such as this; unless of course your editorial sits between another "Bat Boy Found in Cave" and the "in-depth" look at the face of Satan that formed in the smoke from the industrial stacks of Cuban factories.

Damn godless commies, I knew they were in league with the great beast!
