Ok i'll be the first to admit that George W. Bush isnt the best president, or leader for that matter. In fact, he's far from it.

But is he really the centre of all the problems going on right now? I mean, he's got ppl making his speeches, and Cheney who really makes the decisions when you think about it.

The guy doesn't even read the newspaper!

And it isnt like America hasnt seen a leader who doesnt know what they're doing before. Look at the Vietnam War, that proved absolutely nothing and just killed alotta innocent people.

So, I mean George W. Bush isnt the best, but should we even be surprised that he doesn't know what he's doing? America's gotta blood-stained past...George dubbya is just adding to that consistent history, dont you think?

He's deffinitely not the main concern for us. Am I right, comrades?

Even a responsible president couldn't do very much or be blamed for very much. They have very little power, really. That's why we mustn't legitimize the system by buying into the lies that these guys can do somthing for us. Whether or not they want to, they can't.

Hes just an idiot picked to be the public face of the American Government. Its like getting a chimp to be the face of a group of pigs and fat cats.

What do you mean Bush doesn't have that much power? If he wasn't the president Iraq would still be free of US ruling.

I started a thread a while ago - suggesting that Bush was, in fact, a scapegoat.

Here it is. (http://www.che-lives.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=19990&hl=scapegoat)

It is either an unfortunate coincidence; or a master plan by those really wielding power... <_<

The Children of the Revolution, you've made an excellent post. Honestly, good read.

Anyone who was questionning what I meant about Bush having no power...refer to the above link.

personally, i think he deserves everything he gets. you can't just excuse the guy cause he is a moron and lets his minions do most of the running. if the guy is so incapable that he can't write at least a couple sentences of his speeches, and take control like presidents are suppposed to do he shouldn't have run. and he should NOT be in office. we don't need an idiot president.

Bush is just taking orders from the bourgoise. He's a slave for the rich.

But if it wasn't for Bu$h maybe those bourgoise in charge of him wouldn't have any means of ruling the country?

I think they'd find someone else soon enough. A rich kid with a rich dad; perhaps a history in politics; certainly a figure in the popular media... There must be hundreds of potential candidates, each of them willing to sacrifice their dignity for the chance to fly on 'Air Force One' and be named "The most powerful man on Earth" even if it isn't true...

We should have all realised a long time ago that a democratic route to Socialist victory would be very difficult nigh on impossible.

Very little change can be made that way, and what little change that can be made can be easily reversed and/or blocked by the opposition.

Bush will probably be no different from Kerry, Presidents before and after them both will make little difference. Each one just re-acts to the certain situations with small varying degree's of liberalism and authortarianism.

The democratic situation in the US simply installs a sense of freedom in their citizens.

True, but Bu$h must know something about what he's doing, so he is responsible aswell.

YES!!!! DAMN IT IT IS NECASSARY TO BASH HIM!!!!

WHY?

Because since he's the face for theis horrible administration it's easier to hate one man than figuring out which person to hate for which thing. It's just easier this way

but it isnt like we havent seen presidents like him before....

It's no surprise anymore man....every president is worse than their predecessors....and it doesnt take a genious to recognize it.

Bashing Bush, fair enough is justified to a certain degree. But its the American system that needs to change. Bush fed the public lies...i dont remember when Clinton fed us the truth.

Its not one individual anymore....nor is it a group. Its the system which allows it all to happen. 500,000 ppl in Times Square protested for peace and not a damn thing happened....its the system that needs to change, not the presidents.

I found this site, it's basically just a game but really explains well how and why US is acting like in the moment.
You can see how this administration is really the worst in History.

it does seem like bush is bumbling along. given the very base of his intellectual and political capacities it would be a miracle if he'd gotten half as far as he did on just money...
