Very funny, my red puke contemporary.

However, all things considered, I think that it is a valid question.

No, I did. I thought it was clear from the piss on your grave thread. Please don't throw about random accusations at our upstanding Mods.

You like it?

I thought that "Reagan's *****" had a little more edge to it.

But this is good too.

I figured I don't like being direct, and this had nuances to it.

If you'd like I'll change it back :P

What exactly do you like about Regan ? His idiotic and disastorous "Reganomics" ? The fact that he was completely out of touch with environmental and social issues ? The fact that he totally ignored the explosion of aids ?

I like Reagan's ***** better. Deffinitely more edge.

If they put "Regan's *****" under yours it's only fair they put "Che's *****" under theirs. And, all in all, being any political figure's "*****" pretty much takes you out of any intellectual debate. Just look at the fools in that Che board. What did Che eat for breakfest? What did Che do after he left Cuba? Here is my pic...Do I look like Che?, and we are suppose to have actual debates with them? Ha, give me a break.

Sorry, but I've got to agree here - the moment I smell idol-worship I switch off. There's a point at which we should draw the line, and as far as I'm concerned it's at respect for an individuals actions.

This applies just as equally to demonisation in my mind

I also agree with Da Cuban.

If Che knew that people were idol-worshipping him, he'd go ballistic. He did not see himself as anything more than part of the people. He was no egotistical, big-headed wannabe deity. He was a good-hearted, brave human being with a great sense of justice.

Dr. Rosenpenis
11th June 2004, 14:02
I don't think that thre's any "idol worshiping" here.
I haven't seen any evidence of the majority of che-lives members do more admire the guy for being heroic and successful.

If we were to call CI "Ragean's *****", it wouldn't be because he worships the guys (which I don't he does), but because he's succeptible to the lies. Millions of fools like CI are why ass-hats like Ragean can ever be in power.

Are you kidding me Victor ? Come on man, I know you want to defend the place, but to say nobody idolizes Che at this site is insane. Go browse the Che board and look at the people fantasizing about being Che, or dating Che, or running around in the jungle with Che, he's like a revolutionary pop star to alot of people on this site and elsewhere.

I think it's in everyone's best interest, not just for the integrity of the people here but for the site itself, if avatars are best left as un-fucked-with as possible.

We're all gonna fight and we're none of us going to get along, but at least that way we can start off with a little basic dignity for ourselves and each other before the fists start flying.

Perhaps... personally I feel we'd be in a far better state if this statement was reversed to read "Respect should be required, and can be lost through your actions"

This is simply my personal philosophy on the matter: You don't like it? Well I'm sorry, but tough shit. I've already stated I'm not apologising for 'myself'

I really don't want to raise this again though: It is evident that we simply disagree on how to treat people who have differing ideas to my own.

With this in mind, I feel that the 'Reagans *****' title has certianly be earned... and besides I think it's a hilarious ;)

No, not whining. It's sad that most of you beacons of wisdom only point at Rand.

But I am eternally grateful that I am only confined to the gulag of che-lives, opposing ideologies, with all the other "misguided individuals".

Speaking of being banned from right-wing forums...I registered on one through ezboard a few days back (or a week back or so) in an attempt to get more conservative posters to come to Geist's Philosophy Boards, and I said that my only reason was that, and not to debate, or anything else as I disagree and we would only end up getting me banned...long story--well, not so long--short story short: I was banned immediately and they sent me a threatening email telling me to keep my no good "Commie" nonsense out of their board.

Quite a show of compassion from the high strung Conservative psychos.

It is merely commentary on these punk-ass biatches lack of a cohesive argument. Most of their submissions are remedial and repetitive at best, and I have refuted them now just like archives containing my commentary demosnstrate that I have refuted the same tired old arguments in the past.

There are institutions that give you degrees for "life and work" experience...

What it really boils down to is this, send them a cheque for a few large and they send you a "degree".

That has got to be the most intelligent quote by ronald reagan I have seen so far. That doesn't take much i must say. Until now "Can you pass the salt" was top of the list.

All these rightwing forums are their own worst enemies. By not debating with other opinions and rejecting comments with verbal abuse, they automaticly show how stupid they are.

Of course there are some people who wouldn't recognise "stupid" if it danced in front of them wearing only a pink tutu and a "I luv bush" tattoo.
:P
