Just a few days ago, a danish journalist bought a ticket in copenhagens airport and flew to Århus airport.

Not shocked? There is more.

He bought his tickets under the name Abu Luqman.

Name not ring a bell?

Abu Luqman is a cover name used by Fazul Abdullah Mohammed, a member of Al-Qaeda and the tenth most wanted person on the US badguy-list.

No eyebrows were raised as the journalist bought his ticket, and on the plane he was met by nothing more than a smile.

This was your latest news update from Europe.

Do you really like to show everything as a anti-communist plot?

No. I have not. But I do find it amusing (although not terrifying), that he could get away with it.

The line:

*Crawls back under the table and puts fingers in ears*

Was meant as a joke, albeit not a very good one.

I don't think it is a good thing that the worlds (or rather America's) 10th most wanted terrorist could fly in total comfort from one city to another also due to the fact that some of the airports have little security.

Nor am I implying that strict measures should be installed as in the states.

I am simply saying that although the Terrorist threat may be overrated to an unknown degree, it would be unwise to assume that all official warnings are false.

Listen. We are talking about danish intern airsevice. Not about something big. The trip lasts about 20 min.
Would you suggest that everybody having a similar name to some terrorist should be stripsearched for something like this?
Because that would be the logical conclusion from your post.

What is the point? He used the name of an terrorist, but do you have any idea how many arabs there are out there with the same name? Unless he used this terrorists ID-card and/or looked like him there is no problem.
I don't get the point of this post.

Oh well. So much for that thread.

I'll just drop the issue then. I thought it could be amusing or important enough to raise some ears.

Personally I think this is of relevance, regardless of your political standpoint. It just shows how futile any measures are, as no matter how hard the US, UK and chums try to prevent a repeat scenario there will always be a way through.

The interesting fact here is despite the fact he booked a ticket under an erroneous name he still got on. Just goes to show how much of a skapegoat the islamic arab has become - the name doesn't matter, it's simply what you look like.

Do you really like to show everything as a anti-communist plot?

Scepticism should work both ways
